What Paperwork Is Needed for a Streamlined SBA Loan?

If you’re applying for an SBA loan through a streamlined process (like the SBA Small Loan Advantage or a fintech-led platform), you’ll typically need:

  • Driver’s License of all 20%+ owners.
  • Last 2 years’ business tax return.
  • Last 1 year’s personal tax return. 

Common Pitfalls to Avoid:

  • Scanning in pages. Work on getting a solid digital copy of your returns. Sometimes all you need to do is ask your tax preparer and they will have a copy they can send you.
  • Not sending data securely. You can always ask us for a secure upload link or email them in on our secure server share. 

This isn’t a full underwriting package, but lenders still want to see legitimacy, revenue, and the ability to repay. Clean, organized files make you look stronger.
